Booking your vendors and venue for your special day can be a confusing time.  Here are some things to look for when choosing your photographer:

Make sure that your are comfortable with their style of photographs, could you see yourself in their photographs?

Make sure your personalities are compatible, this individual with be with you all day!

Make sure they use professional equipment, there are a lot of individuals that buy an SLR at Futureshop for $500 and call themselves photographers.  The art of photography requires a lot of experience and an initial investment of at least $10000 in gear.  Ask them what gear they use and look it up on the web.

Make sure you get your HIGH RESOLUTION images. Although my prints are more than reasonable, reprints can be expensive. 4x6s and 5x7s can be printed at a pro lab by you for a fraction of the cost. I don't advise anyone on purchasing prints prior to their event. Pay for more time rather than expensive packages that include albums and prints. On average, my clients usually only enlarge 1 or 2 photos.
